There are any number of colour combinations as well as a variety of thicknesses for different sports such as boxing, hockey and rugby to name a few.
As a mouthguard is used to prevent injury in contact sports it is important to have an accurate fit which is helped by having a digital scan. Having this impression data also means that information held digitally is a benefit should the patient lose their appliance then the dentist can reorder immediately so the patient is not without the mouthguard for more than a short while.
